Roleplaying has always been something that fascinated me – the idea of stepping into someone else’s shoes, living in their world, and having countless adventures. With the world being shut down due to the pandemic, my friends and I decided to try it out – and what an adventure it has been! Our game was set in a fantastical world of magic, where anything was possible. The experience was enthralling – I made new friends within the game, created a character, and experienced a virtual world as if it were real.

Creating A New Identity

Roleplaying games offer a space, free from the limitations of the real world, to create a character and live out their life, dreams, and desires. Creating a character within the game was more than just choosing a name and appearance; it was about developing a complex backstory, strengths, and weaknesses that would come into play throughout the adventure. As my character progressed, I found myself emotionally invested in the story, constantly trying to improve and expand my skill-set as I explored the world.

Living A Whole New Experience
